Crocus flavus Golden Yellow
An extremely popular crocus that has been on the market for nearly four hundred years. I understand its popularity: it pops up towards the end of winter in a strong, bright colour that is unrivalled. Excellent for perennializing – if left undisturbed. Special attention needs to be paid to the leaves. This crocus is a late-grower and depends on its leaves for strength. Other crocuses may be less sensitive to a mowed or weeded leave, to the Yellow Mammoth Crocus it is of vital importance its leaves are intact.
