The Book Worm Set
It took me a year to write this book. I’d sit in the goat shed every night after work, pour a glass of wine, light a Sage Candle to clear my mind, and write, write, write. Once the book was almost finished (500 pages in!) I wrote the chapter named “Stop and Smell the Sage,” which is accompanied by the brilliant interview of Terry Tempest Williams (who also discusses Sage). We wanted to include it because Sage is fundamental to the story of Flamingo. It was one of our first Candles, and the first scent in our bath products. And we have mountains of it growing at the Estate. So it’s only appropriate that the mighty Sage Candle sits with the book it inspired.
