Thalia
A beautiful daffodil named after one of the nine Greek Muses, Thaelia, the Muse of comedy. She is often depicted with a mask, with a corona of ivy on her head and a tambourine or a shepherd’s crook in her hand. Her name literally means ‘bloomful joy’, which certainly applies to this little ‘old-timer’ daffodil. It was introduced as early as 1916 and has been a frequently planted and much appreciated daffodil ever since, to this very day.
